OWF project

In Media Studies, we had to create a new project, which was so much fun, and in which we put to work many of the techniques we learned.

The project was in pairs, and I did it with my classmate, Giovanna. For this project, we had to create a videoclip, without sound in which we had to represent a word, in our case, the word appreciative. The project was separated into four parts: a brainstorming sheet, a storyboarding sheet, filming, and finally editing the film.

During the brainstorming, we basically created an idea of what our project was going to be, and how we were going to show that the whole purpose of the film was showing appreciation to something. During storyboarding, we created a preview of our film. We connected everything, using different shots and angles, and it also helped us later on the project, while we were recording the film. We used the app Adobe Express for the editing part, and we really liked it, I think it was really easy to use.

I think we did a great job showing that Giovanna got happy and appreciative because someone remembered her birthday, but I think we could have done a better job in the transitions between shots, because, for example, in our storyboarding sheet we drew only the most important shots, and when we were actually recording the film, we many times forgot, or didn't know what shot to put to make the final film make any sense, but at the end we did it, although, I feel like we could've done it better.

I really liked this project, because I could put to work what I learned in class, and I could also make new friends, like Giovanna, that was an amazing partner. Below, I left a link to the project, I hope you readers like it, and thank you for reading!
