First Production Day, Recording the Second Scene
Setting
The first obstacle that I encountered, was that where I planned to record (my parent’s bedroom) was really messy, and disorganized, and like it is not my bedroom, it was difficult to clean it, plus the time was limited, since I want the lighting for this scene to be with a little bit of natural light, simulating a morning, but I couldn’t get my actors to wake up at that time, so it occurred to me to shoot a bit after sunset, because the lighting at that time is also really good, and I could make it look like a morning. I also had to change the sheets, since I don’t know why, but my parents had green ones, which I don’t like very much, and I feel that they don’t go with what I’m trying to project in the opening.
Actors
The costuming process was a really easy thing to do, I just dressed my main actor (Maverick) with his PJ’s, and made his hair messy, which worked with the vibe that I wanted of a guy that just waked up from a nightmare.
Shooting
I’m not going to lie, I thought that shooting this scenes was going to be easy, but let me tell you, it was not. First of all, because I had to take many shots from different angles, and that took some time; and also because I had to record the phone call, and like Maverick’s character (my dad) doesn’t speak English really well, it was kind of a challenge to make that phone call understandable.
Well guys, this blog came to an end, but don’t get sad, because tomorrow, I’ll probably post the second update of the second shooting day (if I don’t postpone it…), see you tomorrow!!
